Terms of Service

The ground rules for creating a Dial, sharing your work, and exploring someone else's.

Version 0.2 · Draft updated October 20, 2026 · Not yet effective

1. About Dial

Dial is a creator profile and link-sharing app at dial.bio, operated by Onyx LLC, a company in the United States ("Dial", "we", "us" or "our"). It lets artists, creators and other users organize links in an interactive dial and display their profile, portfolio, media kit, sponsors and latest content. These terms cover the Dial service and pages that link to them.

Current preview. Configured social sign-in provides an account. Signed-in profiles and private media kits save in the account database. Save and publish reserves a unique username and publishes your public design at that username; it also makes saved profile edits available across devices. Private kit details are excluded from public profile responses. Anonymous/sample profiles, appointment requests, subscriber entries, creator analytics and team previews remain in the browser being used. Team previews do not grant server access, and browser-local booking or subscription actions do not message another person. Developer analytics and optional external media operate separately, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Payments, email delivery, automatic calendar or video-meeting creation, automatic social content synchronization and direct AI provider connections are not active services. The Design Kit supports manually exporting and importing design files. A preview, live indicator, latest-content label or "Coming soon" control does not establish a connection to another platform. Features may change during development.

2. Eligibility and access

You must be at least 16 to create or manage a Dial account or creator profile. If local law requires a parent or guardian's permission for your use, you must obtain it. You must have authority to act for any business, organization or person you represent. Do not impersonate another person or claim a relationship you do not have.

Subject to these terms, you may use Dial for lawful personal, professional and commercial creator activities. Dial and its suppliers retain rights in the app, design and branding; you retain the rights in your own content. Any separate open-source license continues to govern material covered by that license.

Profile API access is restricted to the signed-in account owner. The manager and team controls remain local demonstrations, not server permission boundaries. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see or change its saved data. Do not enter confidential information or rely on these controls to protect another person's information.

If delegated access is introduced, the owner must authorize a manager before that manager acts on their behalf. Secure sign-in, invitations and permission enforcement will need to be available before that feature is used for real account management.

3. Your content stays yours

You retain ownership of content you provide, including portraits, GIFs, logos, background images, text, portfolio work, links and media-kit materials. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to use it, including consent from people whose image or personal information you include.

You grant Dial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, resize and display that content only as needed to provide the features you choose and operate the service. We may allow service providers to do those things on our behalf for the same purpose. This license does not transfer ownership or grant a right to sell your content or use it to train AI models.

The license ends when your content is removed from the service, except for copies reasonably needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Copies others lawfully saved or reshared may remain outside our control. Saving signed-in profile edits updates the database record and its public design. Removing local browser data does not remove a published profile or delete the sign-in account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, audience counts, rates, sponsor relationships and other statements. Upload limits and supported formats shown in the editor apply. Keep your own copy of important work; this preview is not a backup service.

You may send suggestions voluntarily. We may use those suggestions to improve Dial without compensation; please do not submit confidential information as feedback.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use Dial to:

  • Break applicable laws, infringe copyright or trademarks, or violate privacy or publicity rights.
  • Commit fraud, impersonate others, misrepresent sponsorships or statistics, or direct visitors to deceptive, phishing or malicious sites.
  • Threaten, harass, exploit or abuse others; share non-consensual intimate material; or create, share or link to child sexual exploitation material.
  • Send spam, collect people's contact information without a lawful basis, or reuse booking and subscriber details for unrelated marketing.
  • Upload malware, bypass access restrictions, disrupt the service or access another person's data without authorization.

Links to outside platforms must comply with both applicable law and those platforms' terms. Including a platform in Dial's icon list does not endorse every use of that platform. Responsible, authorized security research is not prohibited by these terms.

5. Creators, bookings and subscribers

Bookings. An appointment request in this preview is saved only in the visitor's current browser. It does not reserve time with a creator, send a confirmation, create a Zoom or Meet link, or guarantee availability. Arrange and confirm any real appointment directly with the creator. Creators are responsible for their services, availability, prices and cancellation terms.

Subscriptions. The Subscribe form records an email address and the checkbox selection locally. No update, marketing email or notification is sent, and email ownership is not verified. Joining a creator's subscriber list is a separate choice from requesting an appointment. Do not add someone else's address without permission.

Media kits and sponsors. Counts, engagement claims, case studies and rates are supplied by the creator and are not independently verified by Dial. Creators must clearly disclose paid sponsorships and affiliate relationships when required. A sponsor banner is not a guarantee or endorsement by Dial.

Commercial arrangements. Unless Dial expressly agrees otherwise in a separate agreement, transactions and engagements between creators, visitors and sponsors are between those parties. Dial does not currently process payments or charge for customization. Any future paid offer must disclose its price and terms before you agree to pay.

6. Outside services

Social links, stores, music, videos and other linked services are operated by third parties. Their terms, privacy practices, age restrictions and fees apply when you use them. Embedded players load when you choose to load them; following a link may leave Dial.

Listing a social platform does not connect your account or give Dial your login credentials. Direct AI account and automatic meeting integrations remain proposed features. If you share an exported design with an AI service, that service's terms apply. Review the returned design and link destinations before saving. Do not submit passwords, API keys or payment details into profile fields or design files.

7. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains account and browser storage, Google sign-in data, public profiles, external resources and available choices. Optional developer analytics and session replay are disabled in the launch configuration. Reading or accepting terms does not itself give consent to optional recording or marketing. Where separate permission is needed, it must be obtained separately.

Creators must respect other people's privacy and use their information only for the purpose disclosed to them. Do not place confidential booking notes, subscriber addresses or private team details in public-facing profile fields.

8. Reports, copyright and takedowns

To report abuse, impersonation, privacy concerns or infringement, use the contact channel below. Include the relevant Dial URL, the content or link at issue, the reason for your report and a way to reach you. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

For copyright reports, identify the protected work and material at issue, explain your authority to act, and include your contact details, signature, and a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith. Further declarations or a counter-notice may be required by applicable law. This draft does not designate a registered DMCA agent or claim safe-harbor status.

We may restrict access to content or links where reasonably necessary to address a violation or legal obligation. Where appropriate and legally permitted, the affected creator will receive the reason and a way to dispute the action through the same contact channel. Report information may be shared as necessary to assess and respond to the complaint, as described in the privacy policy.

The browser-local preview cannot remove material from an outside service or another person's device. Reports about material on an external site may also need to go to that site's operator.

9. Availability and ending use

Dial may change or stop preview features. We do not promise uninterrupted access, specific results, preservation of browser data or a particular launch date. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of changes that materially affect use.

You can stop using Dial at any time. Account settings lets you export your saved profile, deactivate your account or permanently delete the live account after recent sign-in and explicit confirmation. Deactivation hides the public profile and preserves the account and username until you explicitly reactivate or delete it. Export is optional and does not include unsaved browser edits. Deletion does not erase existing backups, earlier analytics records, downloaded copies or browser data on other devices; see the Privacy Policy for these limits.

Use the editor and Save and publish to update public profile content, the subscription controls to remove local entries, or browser settings to clear this site's local data. Signing out or clearing browser data does not delete the server account or published profile. Clearing local site data is irreversible unless you kept your own copy. Cancelling an appointment changes its status; it does not erase its saved details.

We may suspend access or restrict content when reasonably necessary to address a material breach, security risk or legal requirement. Any rights and obligations that by their nature continue after ending use remain in effect, including applicable intellectual property rights and dispute provisions.

10. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the preview is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Dial does not guarantee the accuracy, legality or availability of creator content or third-party services.

To the extent permitted by law, Dial is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the preview. This does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain unaffected.

No fixed monetary liability cap, general user indemnity, mandatory arbitration agreement or class-action waiver is included in this draft. Any such provision would need a separate legal and business decision before inclusion.

11. Disputes and changes to these terms

Please contact Dial first if you have a concern so that we can try to resolve it. This does not limit your right to seek relief from a court or regulator, or delay a deadline that applies to you.

[Governing law and courts: to be selected after confirming the operator's jurisdiction.] No choice of law may deprive you of mandatory protections that apply where you live.

When these terms are finalized or materially changed, Dial will display a version and effective date and provide appropriate notice. Where agreement is required, it must be obtained through an appropriate acceptance process. A link to this draft is not an acceptance mechanism.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. These terms do not override applicable statutory rights or a separately agreed written contract. Failing to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it.
